dawntidesbreeze: One of the problems from my Calc midterm and the extra credit problems. I just thought it was really funny I got 3/5 extra credit points just for knowing the prof mentioned that town at the beginning of the quarter. He put it on the board, and said “does anybody know how to pronounce this?” and one girl tried but she pronounced it wrong and he said “no, it’s actually pronounced like this.” Apparently that’s enough to convey that I was listening. Also: FUCKING GOTTFRIED LEIBNIZ! Holy fuck that dude is amazing. I was looking up the wiki article on Theodicy, and I saw his picture, and I was like “huh didn’t I see that on my calc midterm?” and it was him! He’s been mentioned in at least two of my engineering classes and one of my phil classes. What the hell. Basically all of the notation we use in calc was developed by him. I am not worthy. Though it’s nice to know of more people who’ve studied engineering/math and phil.
